about

This album was recorded live at The Norla Dome, a hemispherical concrete space located at Mission to Seafarers, Melbourne, Australia, as a part of Melbourne Music Week in 2019.

'After this performance someone came up to me and showed me several small pieces of broken porcelain in their hand. They explained that their mother had found an old porcelain teacup in a desert while traveling, and fashioned the handle into a ring, which later had been given to them.

During the performance the ring fell apart at a moment of intensity, crumbling off their finger. I immediately apologized, but they said they thought it was a unique experience. They were going to repair it by highlighting the cracks with gold, like the traditional Japanese method of restoration, to highlight the defects rather than conceal them'.
